Here's the thing, Chris. I was trying to gain knowledge. I agree that my view was "cookiecutter" as you put it, but I was throwing it out there so I could have my mind freed. I am grateful to Wayne for posting those links. The reading was VERY informative. I am mulling it over several times. There is a lot there. The information I am operating from is
A) What is in the book
B) What was in play 12 years ago.
Thanks for getting me up to speed. I don't ask questions to be insulting, I really just want answers.

I don't know what Striff is. But...I do know a lot more about the Valks now. Last time I took a look at it, it was a very poorly developed race. Now that it has some background and explanation, it ROCKS. It may even have taken Elf's place in my heart as favorite race. I like most races, at least for five minutes (ha). I have a character dreamt up for most races, but (formerly) had trouble with the Valk. Now I am getting a better picture of it.
Chris, yes I did think you were picking on me. But then again, I am a little girl.

Yeah, what they said. As you know my character's named after a legendary family friend so doesn't count. But mom's full name wasn't Lyssa; it's Ril'liana'lyssa "Raven" Nightshade.
