I've never moded a phpbb before but I'm sure its not that tricky. I know how to code in php so moding with a gui can't be that tough. BTW: the Happenings in Phantara and GM's Corner threads are coming up as moderator access only. Is that just because there are no threads in there to read?

That is because only mods can post to them and you don't have mod access yet.

You will have it in a momement and be the manager of the GM group though
