*bows head in acknowledgement of the thanks, blushing oddly.

In a low, soft voice that still holds a hint of mischief,*
"Are thee suggesting the ale will dull the sting should thee lose to him?"

*grins*

"Notice I am only watching...Thee are far braver than I..."

The game was fast. Olan won the first hand on a Stripe over full house. That meant that he had a three of a kind, and pair and they were all the same color. A good hand to be sure. Chargoth swore with words foul enough to blister the table upon which they played. He took a drink of ale, and spat on the ground, cursing the night fairy's luck.

The deal then passed to DarKarath. He shuffled up the squares of parchment and dealt. 4 card each with a single pool card on the table. Chargoth looked at his hand. In his hand were several numbers, of various rules, and the Phoenix card. That was the Clan heart card. It could be any number. The Hammer card, that is to say the first card turned up in the pool was the three of Shar. Chargoth was one card away from having a line.(five cards in sequential order. ) He smiled. Drake, since he sat to the left of the dealer was the warlord and was required to make a bet. He did so, with a mild bet of two steel chits. When it came to Chargoth, he played his two chits as well.

With the three of Shen in the pool, Darkarath dealt another card to the pool. He flipped over the seven of Ka. Chargoth could make his line now with the Clan card being later. He smiled as Olan struggled with his card. Olan was the Banner man now. He had to bet, or fold. And if he folded, Ian, who sat next to him would be the bannerman and have the same choice. Chargoth loved this game.
