Ka’lef nods, almost sadly, as Varlen speaks. Then, with a final sip of his ale, stands and bows formally to Atrum.
“It would seem, Prince Atrum, that duty requires me elsewhere. Perhaps, the fates willing, I can, at a later time, bore you once again with more of this ancient tail of a distant people.”
“Please lead the way, Varlen. I would meet the Ka’lef of these lands so that we may seek ways to be of service to one another.”

"Atrum, Corbyn was down by the river when I left him. The last I saw of Robin, she was in here."
*He drains down the last of his mug and gives a deep sigh.*
"Good stuff as always. But if you'll excuse me, I need to accompany these two over to our Duke. Ka'lef, Kal'jour, if you are ready?" *Varys nods towards the door starts to escort them from the tavern.*

*Valren get's to the door and opens it for Ka'lef and Vary's than closes it after he follows them out.*
"Vary's I have a few question if you might answer them for us.
Yes like how do we address Duke Corbyn? Is there a costum in how we are to dress? Is there a mannor in which we are to act? If so have I insulted him when I came with you? Will that look badlly upon you in the station you are in now? What is this station you are in now and how is it of great importance? Who is this Incarus preson? How do we address him? Does his station in the common wealth of Haven reflex what? And how do we go about making sure we have not broking any laws? Better question for you than. What are the laws of this Haven, and of your Duke? Are they many Ol'rashin like Corbyn around here? If so than why is this place so savage? One would think that they would have built as they did in the past. Or am I in the wrong on this part? "
*He stops talking to let Vary's answer his ranting. But he keep his pace with the others.*

Ka’lef turned his head and nodded in approval to his man as they walked.
“Well said, Varlen. Worthy and honorable questions all.”
He looked to Varys at his left.
“I too would know the answers to these questions. I am particularly interested in the local customs and laws. I would be saddened if myself, or one of my people, were to cause unintentional strife here by the wearing of the wrong color garments on days of celebration, or in the fulfilling of sacred duties.”

*Varys nods and gives a small smile before answering.*
"I forgot how important customs and procedure are to your people. It has been a while since we last saw each other. However, here you will find that different people place different importance on customs and traditions. We have one group of people that have been instrumental in securing the safety of Haven, they are the Phoenix Guard. They place strong emphasis on custom and tradition as they are a military unit. Others around here are not so bound to customs and act as they will to whomever they wish.
"I don't believe you have insulted Duke Corbyn. As far as addressing him, calling him Duke will be fine. He and the child of the East will soon be married. The Incarius person you have heard us talk about is the town constable. He is in charge of keeping the peace in Haven. I have just been appointed as magistrate by the town council. You can address Incarius either by his name or by his title. As for me, you know I have never been one to let my title define me, so you may still address me however you wish.
"Ka'lef, the town council has just voted on laws and they have now been posted in the tavern. Whenever you are in there, you can look at them. As far as insulting people, we are a very...egalitarian...community and allow all members of Haven to practice their own customs as long as they do not interfere with someone else."
*Varys keeps walking but lapses into thought as if he were thinking if there was anything else that may be important for his friends to know.*
"I don't believe there will be much of a problem with you following your customs in Haven. I believe you should still be able to keep the title Ka'lef, as you are still the prince of your men, but Duke Corbyn is the highest ranking person in Haven at this time. I am sure that whatever you think would be appropriate as a title for yourselves will be fine with the people of Haven."

*Atrum Stands and gives a formal bow to Ka'lef*
I will look forward to a time when we can sit and talk of our respective civilizations. And please, just Atrum. Be well.
