*Annika stays in her place and watches Curufin carefully, while glancing around at the others in a helpless way.*

*Ian also looks around carefully, seeing what others will do.. meanwhile staying a respectful distance from Donovan*

*for a moment looks like he wants to speak.. then closes his mouth quickly*

*At the word Bitch Curufin stops dead in his tracks and turns to Zander*

"My blood will not be cooled so easily. If it is a fight you want, Zander, a fight you shall have. But know this, It is only when you have lost everything, that you are free to DO anything. You will not win this day. I will give you ONE chance and one chance only to take back what you have said. But if you don't take it, you will not see another day. I promise you this. I swear on the blood of people that you will die!"

*Curufin, as serious as anyone including Donovan has ever seen him, wait for an answer*

*Annika's face falls in terror at Curufin's defiance, as if she is re-living the horrors she endured in the past.*

*Annika nods from Donovan to Curufin as if to silently draw his attention to Curufin.*

Zander stops in his treck twords his bear and turns:

"Yes I will die, we all do. I will gladly coat my axe with your thin elven blood and feed what little meat your bones hold to my Urgeth as a light afternoon meal."

With that said Zander smiles like a child in a candy store and takes a stance, ready for a charge.

*Annika looks surprised by Ian's words.*

"Man on man??? Zander is no 'man,' he is the Gaul and to be respected in his own lands."

*Annika turns her attention back to Curufin.*

"Please, Curufin. If you loved this woman, then you must live to honor her memory and see that justice is served, if it was indeed ignored. You will surely fall to Zander and your loss will be in vain."

"yes elf...listen to the woman, it seems to be the method you make decisions. I understand after all, you are just an elf."


Zander says through clenched teeth.

*shrugging slightly walks back to a few paces from Donovan*

Speaking softly. "I tried.. Goodnes and Light help me I tried.. I fear yet another Phoenix will fall this day"

More guards have gathered and are beginning to form a circle similar to the one used by them during the Yetti test with a small hole that faces the direction Curufin stand from Zander ( 7 now)

"You will need all seven of you guards to win this fight, Zander. I hope for your sake you have trained them well."

*Annika begins to look panicked and after a moment walks straight up to Curufin and stands in front of him, between him and Zander. She bites her lip and after a moment, she leans forward and says to something to Curufin quietly.*

*Kidwynn looking closely at Drakes ropes turns to the group*

Curufin, Donovan, Anika...can you not see that this is all part of a master plan by Pentag? He wants us at each others throats and killing each other off so he won't have to. We are saving him some of the dirty work.

He set us all up.

Please stop. Curufin please go with Donovan and Corbyn to talk. I beg of you stand down. You jump, I'll jump for you are my friend and my commanding officer and I will NOT see you fall.

Zander looks at Annika as if heavily annoyed by her actions.

*Donovan holds up his hand.*

"I was hoping that it would not come to this, but I cannot let one of my men fall needlessly in battle."

*Donovan turns towards the assembled Havenites.*

"It was our objective to ensure Annika's safety and that her betrothed would become the new Gaul. It appears that our work lies unfinished."

*Donovan turns back towards Zander and his ring of men.*

"Phoenix Guard! Your brother Curufin has been threatened."

*Donovan's face turns to stone as something within him shifts fully into place. His eyes are empty as he draws his sword.*
