*Azara hears the others and leans over*
Better to try and be at least a little polite first. Keep your guard up and eyes open.
As Arthos stated, we don't have to beging violently.

"Joseph? Who is this Joseph? I have never been mistaken for a Joseph before, dear no. Nor am I the druid, heavens no. And I had not asked to be rescued for two simple reasons. First, you are clearly here for someone else, and second, I have a family who will surely die should I betray the man who gives the orders..." He pauses reflectively, "If that is something you cannot understand, then should I ever be released or freed I think I should have you over for dinner so that you can feel a part of a family. Yep that is what I'll do." He continues mumbling about something food related but it is difficult to make out in his talking-to-himself voice while walking away from you, leading you on. After a few steps, he even begins to whistle a bit. "One hundred more paces until the end of my area. Would you be requiring me to lead further? Not a good guide there I'm afraid, but I'll try if you like, just let me know. Wish there was more to point out to you or talk about, but the scenery ain't so good, just dirt and dirt is only so exciting."

*coming up on the situation, seeing two men holding weapons at Arthos who is in front of some peasant*
Maybe we haven't been properly introduced. I'm Ka, and you picked the wrong elf to hold weapons on...

*Azara looks at Ka*
Ka, it is under control, relax...please. Ya know I would not let any harm come to him either, nor would Lady Kathryn.
*Back to Argyle*
Ya are doin' fine. If a trail cannot be picked up after we get to the edge of your section, if ya'd be so inclined, if ya could lead us a bit further I'd be greatful.

<not sure what Ka sees, but nobody has pointed any weapons at Arthos, yet. Unless you count the crossbow pointed at the sweeper that he stepped in front of.>
I don't really wish to discuss this anymore, but to find my captain. Be polite if you wish, but the time I've spent in this place has been less than hospitiable with respect to newcomers -- and I can't imagine MORE hospitality is going to be granted down in the lair of this druid. Let us please move, with haste, toward our friend -- we can sort out our differences later if you wish.
*Continues to keep xbow trained on Argyle.
<in a stern voice> Lets go, please.

"Lead on."

*Arthos smiles and just shakes his head. Arthos cobtuines to follow the sweeper as he talks*
I have no control over you and can do as you wish. If you wish to go running into the tunnels by your self please be my guest. I'm down here to help all the towns people who have be captured by the druid and to save the constable. I'm also looking towards the safety of the town, including you, and the peaents that live there.
If you where listenign this man *points tot he sweeper* he is working for the druid to keep his family alive. The druid has them and if he doesn't do what the druid says they will die. He does not have a choice and threatening him will get us no where.
*Arthos turns toward the sweeper* Is this not correct?
Use your head not your sword. Rushing into danger blindly will not help your friend and might even get yourself killed.
The druid has a history capturing innocent people and transforming them into besat to attack the town. We have subduded acouple of these creatures and removed the spell they where enchanted by and under it all was a farmer. The people did not have a clue what happened to them or where they are at. The druids magic clouds there mind and they have no control of what they do. The farmers and their families are innocent in this matter. The true enemy is the druid, not the people who brings us food.
I understand you have not learned patience as of yet, but I will not stand by and watch you throw your life away and hurt town people that do not have a choice.
If Dovan was in deaths grip when he was taken, he is gone now and there was nothing we could have done to prevent it. But as I said before the druid preferrs his prisoners alive so he can cast his magic on them to turn them into beasts. An alive perosn is required for the spell.
So leave or stay itis your choice.
*Arthos contunies down the tunnels*

*Listens to Arthos while staying close to Argyle and looking for signs of tracks to follow*
*Turns to the others for a second*
It is you three who appear to want to air out the differences. Ya have done nothin' for the most part but bitch about the mannor of which Arthos and the others have been handlin' the situation.
We all are concerned about Donnovan's safety, hense why we are down here in the first place, but ya cannot ignore the cries of help by others. They are just as innocent and in as much danger as he is.
I understand your frusteration, we all do, but we need clear heads down here. If Arthos is correct, then Donnovan is alive so it is a matter of findin' him, rescuin' him, and hopefully puttin' an end to the one who captured him in the first place.
This man has offered to help us a little and right now without signs of any tracks what-so-ever we could us it. Not all people are bad, just caution is needed at first, not outright hostility.
Now if ya could kindly stop pointin' that bow at our current guide, that would be helpful. Get it ready ta go in case we run inta any beatles or vines or what have ya, but this man has offered ta help. He is not the enemy here, so save all the anger, hate, and what have ya for when we do find that individual.

"That is almost correct, Arthos was it?" the guard responds. "The druid does not actually have my family. He has only threatened their harm should I not do what he wants. And seeing how easy it was to get me, I believe him. Besides..." he stops suddenly, head alert. He quickly hushes any attempt to speak from any member of the party.
Then, everyone hears it too. A sof rumbling somewhere up ahead, growing in intensity. A whirl of dirt and debris begin filling up the tunnel, and vision is drasticlaly reduced. But through the fog, a man appears, running very fast, followed quickly by another. They are shouting something. It sounds like "Run!" You recognize the voice even as he becomes more visible. It is Donovan, followed by a man you do not recognize, followed quickly by the walls of the cave falling down and in...

<OOG: I was in mid post when ovak posted that last comment, didn't see it. I'll leave my prior post for reference in brackets. This online stuff is really fun, but really hard to get timing down>
{*Approximately 6 words into Arthos' rant, the Phoenix guard give eachother a brief look, turn, and head down the tunnel.
Brik is on point spotting traps, Kabre takes left flank, Curufin takes right.}
<now what really happened>
*Phoenix guard form, and start walking <tired of words> . When the rumble is heard they hold ground and wait until Donovans face appears, If he appears to be fleeing with the others that appeared in the tunnel the Phoenix guard swiftly move into rear cover formation behind him, following and watching his back.

*Checking to make certain the others are moving*
Ya heard the man, MOVE!!!!
*Azara makes certain Argyle is fleeing with them.*

Argyle is definitely fleeing with everyone else

*Shrugs at the Phoenix Guard actions and quietly says to Arthos and Azara*
That's fine, let them learn the hard way, just as we have done, so long as they don't actually harm anyone.
*hears the rumble and sees the commotion ahead, and starts running back to the rope with everyone else*

*Running*
Argyle! Do you know a way out? Possibly closer than where we first met you?

Well, isn't that just convienent?
*puts his shield over his head*
I suggest running.
*making sure everyone is past him, he turns and follows, picking up anyone who happens to stumble, straggle, etc.*
(OOG: as for reference to what Ka saw, two people held weapons on the sweeper, then Arthos jumped between them, no one ever said they lowered their weapons, thus the comment.)
