question for characters that bought languages at char gen

My character Mikklen bought both languages at startup instead of items. What was the ruling on those languages known.

Did we get a free cultural lore per language bought?

Since this is the situation with Kaylan, I can say that yes, if you bought read and write at creation, you get a Culture lore Or can take the option of a refund of the points to buy off of the new starting gear list.
