Sense Magic
You can sense magic by studying an object for 15 seconds. This does not provide any detailed description of the magic, only that magic is present.
Upkeep Makic Items
The Empath can trade in a mystic resource for 2 magic upkeep tags.
Lesser Channel
The empath can summon forth the energy around them and fling it at a target doing damage to them. At this level the empathy can only do 5 damage. It takes an uninterrupted 10 seconds to charge this skill. While charging, you must hold the spell packet in the air so others can see what you are doing—it is hard to hide a big ball of energy! Once the spell is charged you can use no skill nor perform any actions except walking, talking, or running until the spell is used. This is a packet driven skill and you must call ‘5 magic.’
Transference
The Empath can drain 2 life from a target, even themselves, and give another target one life point in return. This ability takes a 20 count to activate and you must be touching your target. At any time you take damage or move you are considered interrupted and must make the 20 count again. The Empath can only drain positive life from an individual. Thus, once a player hits zero life, they can no longer be drained. However, the empath can heal targets who are in negative life.
Advanced
Fear
This skills costs the empath one life point. This is a packet driven skill and you must call ‘Magic Fear.’
Channel
The empath can summon forth the energy around them and fling it at a target doing damage to them. At this level the empath can do up to 10 damage. It takes an uninterrupted 20 seconds to charge this skill. While charging, you must hold the spell packet in the air so others can see what you are doing. Once the spell is charged you can use no skill, nor perform any actions except walking, talking or running until the spell is used. This is a packet driven skill and you must call ’10 magic.’ If the empath feels the need before the twenty seconds are up, he/she can choose to throw a lesser channel, assuming at least ten seconds have passed.
Concentrate Magic
The empath may spend 1 LP to call a 2 magic Lash attack.
Master
Resurect
The empath can bring the dead back to life. This power can only be used on a person who has been dead for 30 minutes or less. It takes one hour to complete this spell and brings the person back to negative 20 life. The empath may use another person's life force in this spell by channeling the life force out of them and giving it to the dead person. For every point in negatives you bring the donor increase the recipients life by 1. To resurect a character the COMPLETE functioning body must be present. You cannot say resurect a leg.
Cause Sleep
It takes 30 seconds to charge this ability and 1 life point. You cannot move after charging this spell. This is a packet driven skill and you must call ‘Magic Sleep.’
Greater Channel
The empath can summon forth the energy around them and fling it at a target doing damage to them. At this level the empathy can do up to 15 damage. It takes an uninterrupted 30 count to use this skill. While charging, you must hold the spell packet in the air so others can see what you are doing. Once the spell is charged you can use no skill nor perform any actions except walking, talking, or running. Additionally, an empath may charge the spell for 30 damage with an uninterrupted sixty count. You cannot move after charging for 30 damage. This is a packet driven skill and you must call ‘15 (or 30) magic.’ If the empath feels the need before the thirty or sixty seconds are up, he/she can choose to throw a less powerful channel, assuming at least the minimum time has passed for the chosen power level.
