From A Biography of Silverthorne by Sathin Maevers, 1000 P.E.W.

The Silverthorne region contains a number of open land areas which fall into different categories. While many regions may be covered in open field, or gentle grasses, (especially the headlands above Silverthorne City and the plains around Susspin where some of the world’s finest heavy cavalry is raised) there are a few important areas that have circumstances due to nature all their own that should be detailed to prepare the iternerate wanderer.

Bonnifuss Plains

"The plains are life and death to these people. Sanctuary and destruction rolled into one. With the grasses standing higher than the tallest man, and razor sharp a predator ca be only inches away before you notice him."

"We greeve our horses in stiffened leather, and wear boots to our thighs just to negotiate the plain. Each man and woman among us a warrior, trained for the speed and safety that only the lightest fastest cavalry can provide."

"In the summer the grasses wave to conceal burrowers which steal our crops. In the winter sheets of snow and blinding blizzards hide the great snow lizards who run like lightning across the snow banks. Their own body heat creates clouds of steam as they charge faster than any man can move."

"Only the proud and the stubborn live here, and I am honored to count myself among them."
